I have a old door with a full length mirror and it is very distorted and blurry . I don't think that it can be removed because of the trim is so old

Hello Laura! If you could resilver the mirror it would have to be removed from the door as this process is done on the back of the mirror.
Yes I agree with Gk. Wondering if you might be able to place a new mirror on top of the existing one?
Hi Laura, can you access both sides of the mirror? A paint stripper will remove the mirror "backing" and return it to just glass, then you could spray paint it with a mirror spray paint to get back the mirror look.
Laura since you say that you don't think it can be removed you will not be able to
re-silver the mirror because as said it needs to be done from the back
If you do find a way to achieve that this article may help

Resilvering is a relatively complex process that works to restore a mirror to its original appearance. Specifically, mirror resilvering involves either replacing or repairing the damaged silver or aluminum layer that's located behind the pane of glass. The silvering you purchase in a spray can will not look like a new mirror. It is intended to look like an aged mirror which it seems you do not want. The average cost to resilver a mirror is about $15 per square foot. However, this cost can quickly escalate when shipping, repackaging, and handling expenses are factored in as well. Look online for a company near your home.
There is mirror paint, that may be an option to just repaint it!
You can strip the mirror with Citristrip stripper. Then you can use mirror paint. Removing the mirror would make it easier. If you can't remove the mirror then tape off the wood with blue painters tape around the mirror.

Turn GLASS Into MIRRORS!
Through the Looking Glass DIY Mirror!
Believe it or not, there are people who buy old imperfect mirrors and enjoy them for their “old age wrinkles”, like the phrase ‘growing old gracefully.’
I agree that mirror spray paint can’t replicate an old process when it’s something we’re supposed to just hand spray. This assumes we have a steady hand and know how to apply spray paint like a pro auto body shop.
I have looked into this and have been told very few companies will do it. It is expensive and time consuming so not worth doing.
