How do I remove utensil marks from stoneware?
My white stoneware dinner plates are covered with gray utensil marks from years of use. I need a way to remove the marks without scratching the surface. I have tried several commercial cleaners without success. All suggestions will be appreciated.

Many people have great success with Barkeeper's Friend. This is a scrub like comet but gentler with the power to take these marks off. I have not had the need but I do use it to polish up used glass and ceramics that I believe had been dulled in a dishwasher.
Barkeeper’s Friend with a scrubby pad gets those off your plates near instantly, it’s great!
Try toothpaste as it’s mildly abrasive.
