All depends on the quality and construction of the solar light itself. Metal and glass will last for years, whereas cheap plastic ones from dollar stores not so much. Most solar lights these days come with rechargeable batteries, so that will make them last even longer if you have a compatibile charger. I have had some metal and better quality plastic ones fo longer than I can remember and when they have lived their life span I replace with metal and glass.
I agree with Naomie. As long as you replace the rechargeable batteries when they fail should last forever. Of course they can get damaged and degraded due to environmental conditions.
Never had one last more than a season. My hard wired lights do the job.
It varies depending on the quality of the solar light. I have had some last several years, and others that barely made it 6 months. Try to keep the solar panel cleaned regularly so the unit is able to take in as much light as possible.
