You probably won't have much success trying to glue the sole back onto the boot. It won't stay together for very long. You can take the boot to a shoe repair business to see if it can even be done. It may be that the boot has seen the end of it's life.

I have used ShoeGoo for years on my kids tennis shoes and everyday shoes with success every time. Just this week I got my winter boots out to check them out, and the soles were coming loose. Total fail. If you have clamps to hold the edges together or something heavy you can leave on top of them, it might work. Loved those boots :( .

...maybe taking them to a shoe hospital/repair for a re-sole is way cheaper than buying new ones. Google some in your area!

I have used gorilla glue to re-attach the sole of my hiking boots. This might work for you, too!
