Install weather stripping and / or use draft dodgers.
Chaulk around Windows using rope chaulk. Make draft dodgers for bottom of doors.( Make a tube of fabric the with of the door, stuff wit batting or rags.) These can be made to complement your room decor or however you like. Looks nicer than rolling up an scatter rug an throwing it in front of the door.
Use weatherstripping tape for doors found at hardware stores. You can use tape or nail it pn. For garAge door they sell rubber seals that u clamp on easily to keep out cold, drafts, snow , water. This would benefit your home too , because I know my garage can be wet , and drafty which goes right into my kitchen area
