Hello, you should try to get a window the same size if possible so then you can just pop out the old window and pop in the new one. You have to take any trim off first and then you should be able to see where the window is attached by nails or screws. Remove them and then the window, if you can't get a window the same size you will have to adjust the opening to fit the new one. good luck!
If, by some miracle, your window is square, you may be able to use the same window. But very few things in construction are perfectly square. You could try the old window, but already know where you can buy a new window right away if the old one doesn't fit. Best wishes 😇
