How to cover cellar windows?

    We used an opaque white film on the windows. It gives us privacy and allows in lots of light. Would that help?

    I bought a decorative plastic film which looked like the stained glass image of wisteria.

      Yes, you can get that at Home Depot and probably Lowes. Also, contact paper in "frosted" still lets light in but can't see things through it.

      Yes, old house and can't afford to replace right now.

    Thank you for your ideas! I didn't give much detail and appreciate input. One window is almost falling apart, but I can't afford to replace right now so I'm going to screw some wood into cement around the window, then staple good thick plastic over so it's not letting in too much of a drat. It's a true cellar so while I appreciate the light, I don't need this one to open for a few months!
