Not sure what item your retractable screen problem is referring to, guessing it is a door, hope this will help you:

Hi Terri. Is there a way you could take the screen down completely? Is there a tension rod involved? If you could remove the brackets, you may be able to rewind the shade manually. You could also contact the manufacturer for some advice. Good luck Terri. I hope you are well.
Not to sure what screen you are talking about. But if it would usually pull down and now it does not you could just need a little WD40 on it.
It’s a storm door. Will try your suggestion. Thanks. Be well
You may find the answer via the door company's website, or call them, directly. Try pushing upward, on the screen section, then try pulling it down, slowly.
Sometimes they will not pull down if the moveable glass section is not completely locked in the "Up" position. If your door has this feature, try lowering and raising the upper glass section, pushing it securely into it's uppermost position.
I'd examine it to see what is jammed and carefully untangle that.
