How do I repair a steel garage door that is starting to rust?

I have 3 garage doors. One is a double door and the other 2 are single doors. Each door is made of steel and has an automatic door opener. Where the panels align on the doors, small pits of rust are appearing. The doors are white and this is beginning to show up. I have contacted the manufacturer and no response as to how to repair or stop the rust from appearing. Help on how to fix this situation before it becomes a major issue on the doors.

I don't know the name...but there is a product that you can probably get at Home Depot, that bonds with the rust to seal and stop further rust. After using it, it can be painted.

Hi Karen! We have had problems with manufacturers not returning our calls or messages because of problems similar to this. I am referring you to some helpful sites for great information. You can always check with your local Home Depot, Lowe's or hardware store as well. Good luck Karen...
