It is probably attached with adhesive, or screws, or both. Take a look at what you have before you purchase a new weather strip. Most likely you will want to buy something that attaches in the same way.
there is a part called a bug sweep that you can buy in the same width as your door it attaches on the inside with screws it keeps the cold air out, if you had the kind that was on the very bottom of the door and want to use that kind again you will have to remove the door to do it, hope this helps xx
