How to restore peeling off mirrored closet doors?

It depends on what your style is cover it with luan and paint it barndoor style of you want to keep the mirror ask the window and door people in the hardware store to give you the little slat things that make the sguares i simply can not remember what ther called map out what you want and use mirror glue or gorilla caulk to glue them on....good luck

If you can access the back where the pitting is, you can have them re-silvered professionally OR try painting from the back with silvering solution. If the pitting is widespread, you could scrape & paint with a bright contrasting color to show thru and compliment your room style. One last thought: a plasticized window treatment, commonly used for security, maybe in a lacy or leaf-patterned style would look really nice over the mirrors, even where pitted. They have many styles & can be removed easily if you don't like it.
