How do I cat proof my glass door?

I have a glass storm door between my porch and the inside of my house. It is attractively divided into two sections. However, I have two indoor cats who go absolutely crazy when they see other cats on my porch through the bottom portion of the door. As you can imagine this is a real problem when the cats outside sit and stare at my cats through the glass door. All hell breaks loose. I would like to do something stylish with the bottom panel that is opaque enough so that my cats cannot see other cats shapes through the door. Any ideas?

Oh dear I bet that is a problem. Static-cling (clean window, apply with water and a supplied squeegee, no actual adhesive, peels off when you leave or want to take it off without a fight) "stained glass" plastic films are available. They look pretty much as good or bad as you make them look, which is mostly a matter of how carefully you cut the edges.
Sounds really pretty Mogie, but I really need something opaque so that the cats can't see in or out. I have a board there just now but it looks very ugly.
What about some frosted glass spray paint (def. tape off areas with plastic and frog tape that you don't want to get sprayed). I wasn't sure how big the bottom panel was, but you could try spray painting a spare piece of glass first to see how it looks and put it next to the door.
Why not spray your patio with essential oils of rosemary or orange/lemon, or place plants of rosemary or lavender on the patio? Cats dislike these scents and will stay away from your patio.
Plants of Ruta Graveolens (Rue) are even more effective.
I’d suggest Window Pricacy Film. It is translucent - let’s in light and blocks the view. :) Super easy install and cheap.
Frugal, thanks so much for your answer. I didn't know they made such a thing but will go to my Home Depot and see if they sell it.
