How to cover a door wall, cheap. It brings in the MI cold.

It's my 2nd winter in a manufactured home and the door wall measures 73 h X 70 w. The vertical blinds and sheers are useless in keeping the draft out.

If you don't need to use the sliding door 3M and others make a kit for this. It attaches inside. You clean the door frame then attach double stick tape all the way around. Then you attach a sheet of clear plastic to the tape. Final step it to use a hair dryer which shrinks the plastic to take wrinkles out. These work great, are easy to install, and is so clear that you can forget it's there. Just checked Amazon and a Duck brand kit is under $10.

Wow, thank you so much Ken. I had no idea I could do that for such a big area. ๐Ÿ˜Š and for such a good price. Again thank you for your idea and you even checked the price, you're very kind.

You could put up a traverse rod and insulated drapes to cover the entire wall, then just draw them open when you want.

Wooden shutters on the outside to stop some of the cold before it gets in.

It wouldn't be at all pretty but if you 're cool with "closing it up" in the winter time you could buy a sheet of 3" thick foam board and cut it to size then put it between the doors and the window treatments and just leave them closed.

Use Heavy curtains or a Blanket at the windows.
