How to mount 2" wooden blinds in a bay window?
I have a bay window where the centre window has 2 1/2" -3" of depth for top, inside mounting, but both side windows have ony 1"-1 1/4" for inside mounting, without hitting the lower sash. If I mount them outside of the window recess,to the ceiling of the cutout area, the centre blind will be almost 5" from the window itself. Any ideas ?

Hi Sally I'm thinking a small additional piece of wood on either side to extend out the shallower windows might be your best bet. Then you can still "inside" mount the rod.
Hi Sally, always a challenge..... I say mount them all on the inside, if they stick out a bit from the side windows, but will look even to the eye even if they pop out a bit more. Hope this helps you out.

When I had blinds in my bay window, my husband put 2 boards around the center piece. This gave us a place to actually mount the blinds. It was painted the same color as the blinds. It kept the shape of the bay window and looked beautiful
