Metal exterior door rust

Pam Walker on Jul 26, 2015Take the door off it's hinges. Cut off the rusted part. Attach another piece of metal where the other one was & using decorative trim, hide the part where the 2 pieces were joined. It will look like you bought it that way. :)Helpful Reply

Stefan on Jul 26, 2015If the part is not totally rusted, you can use an epoxy and patch it and mold it to the right shape, but take it off the hinges and spray can it two or three coats of paint.or call a handy man.Helpful Reply

Lee Cunningham Green on Jul 26, 2015There are also self adhesive door kick plates, that work nicely on the bottom of a door if the rust is not too bad, scrub it clean prime patch and paint, and add a kick plate.Helpful Reply
