Pocket door

Whenever this pocket door gets used it leaves a drag mark, why??

    Looks like something inside the wall is scratching it. Maybe if you remove the trim piece you can see it.

    Have the same problem. A contractor told me there is probably a nail inside the wall that is responsible so the fix would be to open the wall... not. Do not like pocket doors, too many issues. Track gets wonky, noisy, above noted scratches. Have had one replaced with a normal door, but am stuck with one 'spacesaver' headache.

    It's definitely rubbing. We placed a piece of thick stick on felt, like you put on the bottom of chair legs, on the edge of the wall that the door slides into. (On the side that's having the issue) It balances the door away from whatever is rubbing.

    There is a nail or screw prodding from the facing of the opposite wall. You can locate the cause of the damage by measuring the length of the scratch. Example if the damage ends 15" from the door frame of a 36" wide door when the door is closed then it is most likely that the cause of the damage is 21 inches +/- from the face of the door frame
