What can I do about Rain in the Sun Room?

I have a screened in porch & of course the rain blows in. I've seen curtains on the inside, but is there something less expensive than a rolling shade for the outside? I was pondering some shower curtains even!

I think a shower curtain could work well! You could find some that look more like decorative fabric as opposed to rubbery. also, you can use some hooks or even Velcro to secure them in place while it's raining

Cori is so right! I used one last year on my porch with hooks and a tension rod but you could even use staples. There are so many shower curtains out there that look and feel almost like cloth. I bought one last year from Walmart for $11.00. If you purchase one with a pattern, take in account the color of your house and/or shutters. Example: my house is white with black shutters so I bought a white curtain that had a few "bare" trees on it. They were a muted black color with tiny bits of brown in places...a soft contemporary look. Last, google websites and/or "decorative shower curtains" for a variety of ideas...even here on Hometalk. Don't forget about Pinterest too.

At our previous home we had a sunroom that had only screens. I used tension curtain rods top and bottom and it kept the sunroom nice and dry. It did require sewing a pocket for the rod at the bottom.

The shower curtain idea is great . I've seen some beautiful ones on Amazon , in fact we just recently replaced ours because I fell in love with the gorgeous designs .

You could also get some of those large rectangle tableclothes that are called oil cloth with the flannel backing on one side. They even have them at Dollar Tree in summer. Sew a tube at top and use stretched parachute chord to hang from hook at either end, and sew a washer on each corner at bottom to weight down from blowing around too much. you could tack down using wooden screen stripping from hardware store on top also.

Grocery Outlet has great shower curtains here, really cheap $4=$5, or Dollar Tree but their flimsier.
