    What about a Morgan Door?

  • How much room do you have to work with? French doors always look nice. They make invisible glass doors if the budget allows.

You can likely by french doors (comes with two doors framed to meet in the middle). They are likely more expensive than sliders, but add a nice touch and can be ordered to open to the inside or to the outside.

For a budget approach, stencil a beautiful design on your doors to give them a new look.

Since I can't afford French Doors, stenciling sounds like a good idea. What kind of paint did you use and does the paint work well on the outside also?

Stay with your slider. There are ways to dress it up. French doors tend to leak. I've had them in several houses and i had wished we had sliders. There are some very nice ones out there now. Replace with another slider. We had French doors installed by the door company in a newly constructed house. The doors leaked. They came out and caulked, redid the trim along the outside and a few other things. The doors still leaked. They came out again and replaced with new doors. The doors still leaked. Then we were told that all doors leak!!!! We kept caulking and rearranging trims and siding and eventually the doors didn't leak anymore. If I had it to do over, I would have put in a slider. I will admit, it was on a second floor deck, but outside doors shouldn't leak. These were expensive doors made by a major door company that went into a million dollar house at the beach. Stay with a slider! Good luck.

There are sliders that look like French doors--a friend has one by Andersen, the interior is wood, fancy hardware, etc.
