What is the best way to get a glass slider lubricated so it slides?

  • WD40. First clean - vacuum, then wipe out with an old rag doused in rubbing alcohol. Then spray the WD40.

    I agree with Naomie! Silicone spray would also work but I go for WD40.

    The worse product you can use is WD-40. It will only build up on the rollers and slow the door down even more. It may take a few months but the end result is you have to replace the rollers because they are completely clogged up. Try to keep the runner clean.

    Clean the groove it runs in really good then lubricate with liquid graphite

    Be sure to clean as much gunk and roughness away as possible. I would use some steel wool or even a brillo pad and rinse and dry thoroughly. Then run a bar of soap back and forth on the tracks several times. If this doesn't work. check the wheels on the bottom of the door. This could be part of the problem.
