Try WD-40
spray some WD-40 in the key hole!
Check to make sure the latch is engaging when turning the key. WD40 or silicone spray on the latch. Work the lock. Key turns no lube needed in key hole. Is the door rubbing on the frame. May need to sand or plane the areas it's rubbing. Check to make sure all the hinge screws are tight.

try some WD40
Do not use WD-40. It attracts dirt and dust and will be a very temporary solution at best. Use a dry graphite powder.
