In the meantime, take an hour and a notebook. Devote a page to each room. Writing the dimensions of the rooms as well as the windows (height of the window, and including from top of window to floor) and width. Do it as an informal floor plan, showing how much space between windows, and length of closet wall.
If you’ve painted, put a dot of that color on the page for matching during your travels.
Truly, do all the rooms. You think you’ll remember how long and wide the hallway is, or the colors, but you can’t and won’t. Get a notebook that’s small enough to fit in your bag, carry it with you, and update it as you decorate.
Have fun. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sounds like you are going to fit right in with the Hometalkers on this site. You've already conquered a couple of projects to make your home "yours", Great! My advice for now for you is to browse through the different areas of this site and start by entering a few words into the area at the top of the Home page where it says Find your Next project and clicking. You'll be amazed at all the ideas that will come up for you to view. For the link I've provided, all I entered was bed sheets and this is only one of the many projects that popped up.

Vintage Bed Sheet DIY Shower Curtain
JCraw wish I had your advice 8 months ago. Had new home built and pitched most before moving. Would have saved a huge amount of time And $
Boy - that's a large question. Can you narrow it down some? Inside or outside? Any certain room? Flooring? Man cave?.....
One caution: you will become addicted to this site and all things DIY !
If you haven't already, go through every part of the house and do complete, deep cleaning. Look for any repairs and do those. I agree with the notebook idea, I have a binder with a section for each room and outside. I have plastic sleeves in each section, which hold pictures and samples for each area. I also love having the outside spruced up, very welcoming every time we come home. Enjoy yourself!
Gee I don't even know where to start but the bathroom needs fixing remodeling badly floors all
Probably start with the easiest to accomplish and/or the most in need of work. Sometimes it is as simple as cleaning. I remember the first thing we did when we bought this . . . our only house . . . was to remove huge bushes in the front of house and invasive bittersweet that was twining around the balusters on an upper porch.
Thanks everyone for all your warm welcomes n inpute
