How do you install laminate flooring on stairs?

We have a split level home and the stairs are short up and down. We would like to install laminate flooring.

I would use liquid nails doing the uprights first then the treds.

My basement stairs had glued pebble look vinyl tiles with an aluminum angle for the nosing. I removed the aluminum nosing but didn't remove the vinyl tiles. Knew the wood underneath was construction grade. I use construction adhesive to glue the laminate flooring to the treads. Nailed 1X2 boards for the bull nosing. Painted the risers white.
