    I have black and white scenic pictures from around the area I live . I had them framed with two different but complimentary frames and I always get compliments.

    Can you paint it in a different color that you love? Maybe with stripes? Or if you like the color can you add stripes. How tall is this are? Is it a split home so you can use the entire area without falling or is it just a straight up to second floor that has tall ceiling? If tall I would look for large framed "paintings " that you like, from tjmaxx or anyplace you can find them for a low price and without frame so it isn't heavy and that's all you need one focal point.

      I'm having the same issue. We have been our home 1yr. It had been freshly painted in builder grade beige which is OK because fresh slate. Problem is that I had living room and dining room painted a beautiful shade of green with white and changed carpet and baseboard. I want to continue with my love of color and the white, problem is where to cut it off I don't want dark hallway although it has overhead light. I also want 2 shades of same color and I'm leaning towards teal but the blue undertones not the green. I guess I could continue lighter shade in hallway. The hallway to the kitchen I want in the darker shade. I love art that's why I suggested just one large piece that speaks to you. But help me, what do you think, I always tell people that they should do what they want because company goes back home and you live their 24/7 and pay mortgage, yet I find myself scared to take own advice. The green is by Sherwin Williams it's organic green or better yet go on Facebook and look at M.E.N.D site it is there. I absolutely love it and right now those are the only 2 rooms I can say that we have had painted. Plus baton board was added. Help.
