I did it myself several years ago. I went to either Lowe’s or Home Depot and picked out the backsplash I wanted. Since I never did it before I picked out one that was on the 12” square mesh. I measured my backsplash area before I left home so I knew how many to buy. I found a product in a plastic tub that was pre mixed that was both the mastic that held it to the wall and the chaulk that you use after the tiles are stuck to the wall. You need something to spread the material on the wall and a big sponge the wipe the material over the tile. You need to keep cleaning the sponge under cold water and wiping the tiles until they are clean. I hope this helps. It’s a fun project.
Liquid nails is a great product to stick the tin to the wall
I used this, but keep the plastic on it for extra protection.
