Heat gun
heat gun, (not a hair dryer) and remember you have to remove the glue residue thats left behind or you’ll be asking for trouble,
Try softening adhesive with a hair dryer. Work on a corner and use a putty knife carefully to pry off. You still may have a bit of plaster or drywall damage, but patch and paint before applying new backsplash. Good luck!
I've done this, hair dryers usually don't get hot enough. Use heat gun to start with a metal putty knife to pry off tile. Use the heat gun on low to scrape most of the residue from the wall. Use an appropriate product to remove the rest of the glue. Time consuming but not to difficult. Good luck
Thank you everyone!
