My sister did metal flashing and it gives it the look of stainless steel for a fraction of the price. If you do beadboard, paint before hanging with a heavy duty paint (preferably with polyurethane in it).
My next project. I picked up the tin ceiling tiles at Home Depot. I am going to cut to fit and glue on. You can also nail on.
They come in different colors. I am now searching for a type of molding for a few spots. I don't want to use wood, want tin there too. Enjoy your project.
Use the mussellbound adhesive! It made our project a lot easier to handle for beginners. I'd also recommend renting a wet saw for cuts along your outlets.
