How to do I low-budget glass backspash in our bathroom?

I had a sink like yours previously and it came with or I purchased the same material as the sink to put behind it and down the side. I'm not sure if you should take the glass over to the toilet. That may look kinda "off."

I’d also paint that area in one of the colors of the glass pieces, but different than what’s on those walls now. Or even a different color, but still contrasts beautifully with the glass. I agree with D.: Your initial ideal of strips, no greater than 3.5 inches wide each will more suitably serve the purpose you are seeking.

Also, bear in mind that you will likely want to paint them, and it always goes better to decide this before the doing and installation.

When you do paint glass, you always paint glass on the backside (or inside for windows) so the ammonia based cleansers on the front does not eat off the paint.

In front of the sink and side. Would look strange carried over to the toilet.

I think doing a band of glass around the walls would look nice ! I would follow it across the wall going over the toilet area , as well as the wall , that you can't see in the picture , the one that would be at your back if you were facing the sink . You could paint the room two tones one above the strip of glass , another below the glass strip . Good luck with your project !!!

Be creative! You don't have to keep it straight even if you carry it over to the toilet. I have seen glass beads placed over the sink to the toilet to look like a wave.

Agree with some above, others...not so much. Adding your design to the wall extends the look so yes. Glass beads or globs as they are called look cheap, so no. You say you want to use glass, so do you mean the glass tile of glass. One person said to paint the back of the glass, not sure what you are doing but if you TRULY are using glass not glass tile then you should just buy stained glass. I would not put the tile in front of the sink, that would be overkill. Use like a back splash and continue to the shower wall for a cohesive look. If you want to use something in the front of the sink I would use something like wood planking strip. Hard to tell what your sink looks like in the front.

I do stained glass and I just finished a stained glass backsplash in my kitchen. I used 3/4 inch pieces of glass. If it were me, I'd just do the sink,
