Updating the Powder Room With Painted Tile
I would use the Faux marble counter tutorial from this site on the floor tiles. It looks beautiful in the bathroom vanity I can only imagine the beauty it would give any room for the floor especially if already tiled. The glaze technique they used is amazing. U could do it in any color scheme of choice to and at a fraction of the time and cost of tearing out and replacing the tiles.
If you don't want to paint (prep is the most important step) then I'd also check on installing wall panels via a kit or the sheets. I've had a company come and recoat a tub and it worked great and is still like new. https://www.bathtubresurfacingsite.com/
You could stencil the floor tile: https://remingtonavenue.com/how-to-paint-stencil-tile.html
It's not my favorite either, but I'd just choose a complementary color for everything else in the room and go with this tile. It would become a background feature instead of the main show. Have had experience with painting tile surfaces, and it's a disaster waiting to happen. It will eventually bubble, lift, peel, get dings.
Damn it is dated and it is ugly. Painting would be the best solution. Proper prep is the key. Rustoleum or Homax tub and tile paint kits. There is no way to distract or hide it with accessories because of the different veining.
Hi Monica, you can stencil it.

Hi Monica, you can paint it or put peel and stick over it. It would be lots of work to remove it , and it its on good shape, why tear it out.
RustOleum makes a tile painting kit. You could paint the grout as well. I don't think it's that bad if you updated the room and added accents.
Peel and stick does not do well in humid environments, the moisture looses it and they drop.
