I recently purchased a home in need of some TLC. My hubby and I DIY it all (I'm the gopher!) My kitchen floor is completely tiled, but quite a few have been damaged (chipped) and badly reparative attempts by previous owner make the bad spots stick out like crazy! We just refaced the cabinets and the countertop (also badly needed!) Just need good advice on how to repairs chips to make tile surface look better to paint then stencil the floor. ( Florida home ) Thankyou in advance for your help.

I don't guess they left you any leftover tile?If you have some you can chip up the broken ones and replace .

No, unfortunately they did not leave any tiles.

Did you find any extra tiles in the garage or basement? you could just remove the broken ones and replace them. I have also found Ebay a good source for old tiles to do repairs, as is Habitat for Humanity Restore or architectural recylers.

All good suggestions. I see you want to paint so all you need is replacement tile of the correct size. If no replacement tile is available, you can look into Bondo. Find it in automotive section. mix, smooth, let it harden - then sand. And then you can paint away.
