Painting floor grout?
I was considering painting the grout on the floor of the bathroom with gold metallic paint. Does anyone know of a good paint to use and do I have to do any prep before I paint (other than a good cleaning). I was thinking of garage floor paint, but I am not sure I could get that in metallic gold. The floor tiles are white.

You need a special paint for grout and I'm not sure it comes in metallic. Here's a link with more information:

When I painted my bathroom floor grout, I used exterior house paint. Then I sealed the paint and tile with regular tile & grout sealer. That was almost 2 years ago and it still looks as good as when I did it. However, when you switch to gold metallic your options are limited. The things I would look for are durability and water proof. Regularly sealing it will help as well.
Amazon sells grout paint pens.

You should not use a latex paint over your existing grout joints, because it won’t provide adequate coverage over the existing color, nor will it last.

Amazon has grout pens, but they don't come in metallic gold. So I'd try a gold paint marker and then seal it when you are done.
Home Depot carries grout paint in the tile section. The colors are limited. Perhaps a bit of gold in it might work. Try some on a scrap board to see how it dries.

The grout pens you can buy are mostly white and dark colors but you might try a gold sharpie paint pen. The grout pens are basically the same thing.
I would ask at the paint store what kind of sealer you can use because I think that's more important that the paint you use for the grout.

If you can’t find a gold one doing a deep internet dive, you could try an adhesive primer and a permanent marker, then sealing it but you might do a month long test to see if it holds up first. Try a tile shop to see what their thoughts would be too.
