Anyone used Pebble Tile?

I love the natural look of the Pebble Tile that comes on a screen and has to be grouted. Has anyone out there done this and how hard is it? Also, is it very expensive? Many thanks! JJ

No more difficult than installing and grouting any small ceramic tile that is installed in the same way. As for how hard it is, I have no scale to refer to that you and I will both understand. As for expense, that depends on your choices because there are many manufacturers, retailers, and materials available. The price at your supplier for the colors and shapes that you want is all that matters. Pricing is similar to better ceramic tile, but that depends on what ceramic tile you are thinking of.

I have had it done. FYI, walking on the river rock ones are not very comfortable after a while. I also had one installed with the very small pebbles and that one was nice to walk on. As for expensive, you can find the tiles online and they're usually a lot cheaper than in the brick and mortar stores. Just google what you're interested in. Search all kinds of sites, you'll be surprised where you can find them.

Good to know that the flat ones are more comfortable. Thank you for the Head's Up!

There are two types of pebble tile, the "natural" rounded ones and flat ones that have had the tops cut off. I would recommend walking on a sample of each barefoot. Also, if installing yourself, you may need to rearrange a few pebbles on each sheet to get a more random look.

if you are looking for flooring - its pretty uncomfortable underfoot, just FYI! It's not the cheapest option either.
