LVT and LVP will let you feel every seam and imperfection in the old floor tile. I'd pour self-leveler over the area before putting down the LVT to give you a nice, flat surface to start with. It will save you headaches later...

You can also put down plywood over the tile. If you don’t have a smooth surface you will see and feel everything underneath

Yes you either need to take up your tile or install a new subfloor over the tile. May cause a height issue for you.

You’ll probably have to put an underlayment on top of the CT. The ceramic tile is a shiny non-porous surface with lower grout joints that will telescope into the VT.

Depending on the tile, the concept of 40 grit belt sanding the whole floor and stripping any dealers or wax from the grout joint in order to get a self-leveling floor compound to stick, is a ton of work.

I’d call the manufacturer’s tech center and then I’d develop a bid document and get bids for pros to do it. Then if there’s a problem, you didn’t void the warranty.
