How do I fix flagstone grout done wrong?
I had flagstone laid last summer and it was done poorly. The grout was not set right and now with rains it is totally washed away in many places. It’s a mess. What do I do now and is there something other than grout to use? Will it all have to be dug up and done over?. I’m elderly and one on limited income but I might be able to do a fix if not too complicated.

Got new tiles recently, and noticed a crack in the grout across a few tiles. Tiles are directly beneath washing machine, so afraid there may be seepage. Thanks 😊
I don't think grout is supposed to be used on an outside walkway. I think a cement would be better.
I agree with Shore grandmom. Cement is used for the gaps around flagstone. Just dig out the grout and use mortar mix.
If you paid to have someone lay the flagstone and they did not do it correctly, and it was recent, I'd see if I could get the contractor to re-do the job correctly. Ask at a stoneyard for the right products to use.
I assume the installer used Polymeric sand. It is supposed to harden but basically used on pavers not flagstone. Used to fill in smaller gaps. Yes you can get cement at Home Depot. I suggest a mortar mix which is used around brickwork and stonework. It hardens stronger than regular cement and a stronger bond.
