My home is only 4 months old the caulk and grout are cracking around the edges of the tile in the kitchen and bath. Is it normal for new grout to crack?
Mix to a thick consistency and push into the joints with the spatula. Wipe clean with sponge, rinsing residue as you go. Grout haze must be removed in the first 4 hours.

You can get a small hand tool called a grout saw that will remove the old grout from the tiles. They run about $10 and can be found in the tile department of any home improvement store.
Jane...Remove the old and then apply the new.
You’ll have to remove the old grout and replace it with new matching grout. It’s not necessarily complicated, just messy and will take a bit of time.
Hello Jane,
First remove old grout using Dremel drill. Then use Waterproof Grout and re-fill gaps as instructions. Clean off excess grout and don't let it remain on the tiles as it will dry hard and spoil your work! Best wishes.
