How do you prevent over grouting pebbles in a shower floor?

    Grout it, then take one of those large yellow sponges and wipe the grout off to the depth you want. There are lots of U-tube videos showing how.

    I would also recommend using non-sanded grout for this. The sand isn't good for natural stone, glass or metal and it looks like you have very small grout lines making sanded grout unnecessary. When you wipe with the wet sponge as previously suggested, using non-sanded grout will prevent scratches on your pebbles.
