Tile advice for outdoor Lanai/Balcony?

I have a very large 700 square foot outdoor lanai ( balcony) in our Honolulu condominium. The tiles are getting old.

If you had to choose the perfect type of ceramic or porcelain tiles to use, which would be the most durable to use; & the most attractive , regardless of the cost! We want to do this up right!! Any advice! Thank you!

I would definitely use a tile that the color goes all the way through in case of chips or cracks. Something like a Mexican tile rather than for example, a colored tile that just under the surface is a red or some other colored clay.

I would definitely go for the porcelain tiles. They are made to withstand temperature changes and are water proof, unlike most ceramic tiles. Try get the slip resistant porcelain tiles so if they do get wet no one has a bad accident

You're most welcome Ann and the last thing you want is to have someone slipping when it's raining. Best of luck with your tiling. I'm sure it's going to look amazing

Hi. Use travertine or granite. They are tough and will look great for a very very long time. Good luck.
