Ceramic Tile?

Just had travertine tile installed in my kitchen back splash. There is about a 3/4” strip on each side of my window over my sink and was wondering if I should have the tile go up the sides of window to finish the look or end at window sill
Leave it as is.
That looks beautiful! I think it looks great as it is, I think this is one for personal preference. You could use a strip of wood, like your cabinets, instead of tile.
no I would just leave it painted. It is too small of a gap but if the bothers you cut a piece of wood that your cabinets are made out off and fil it in
I would leave it alone. I have the exact same tile and the same window situation.
No leave it. You want it to stay right below the cabinet line. Just paint that the color of your walls.

It would be a lot of fiddly cutting of tiny tile pieces to try to get them to fit into and stay attached in the narrow gaps on either side of the window, especially around the little piece at bottom of the upper cabinets.
IMO the difference in the overall 'look' would not be an improvement enough to warrant the extra time-consuming endeavour.
I have the same window set up. I did not put tile up the sides. It would not have looked even. I just painted it the same color as my kitchen and it looks fine.

I wouldn't run the tile up the sides of your window. Just leave it painted as it is. A backsplash shouldn't continue up beyond your upper cabinet bottoms unless it's to create a backsplash above a stove top. Your kitchen is beautiful as is! Good Job!
Leave it. Tiles go right up to the bottom of the cabinets around the bottom of the window.
I’m the oddball out here as I would fill that in. To me visually, the line of the tile top floating in space would drive me batty. Filling it in would make it a complete tile picture. Heh, but I guess that’s just me!
I would paint the strips the same color as the travertine, or hang swag curtains with the side tips coming down to the travertine; either way, those narrow strips disappear to the eye.
Add a strip of wood the same color as you have or paint the same color as the tile.
