A Simple Basket Upcycle.

Been done a million times before, but I was so happy with my basket planter I just had to share. :)
It was a case of what do you do with a basket from a hamper gift when you have baskets literally coming out your ears?
Spray paint it. In my case I chose a soft gray. The paint also helps with waterproofing for a longer life as a planter.
Popped into the garden shop and bought a few ready to plant annuals.
Lined the basket with plastic, then poked drainage holes in the bottom between the weave of the basket.
Filled the basket with container potting mix.
And planted my pretty flowers.
Enjoyed the project?

Louise Adkins on Sep 27, 2016You don't have to plant in it to achieve the same look. Just place the plastic pots in the basket and fill in the empty spaces and over the edges of the pots with spanish moss. Just another idea...
