From Seat Back to Feet!

We have taken the spindles off of the backs of chairs and used the seat as a stool to have around a campfire. So, we had plenty of spindles that we tossed into a bucket for later use.

Here are the chairs with the spindles removed. Cute huh!

Here are the spindles off of one chair we had. I was making charcuterie boards and wanted to raise them up just a little. After looking online for feet, the lightbulb went off. Take those spindles and cut them up to use.

My wonderful husband, who is not afraid of the table saw, cut down each one for me. There were natural places to cut them into sections so no measuring was needed.

Here are all my “new” feet.

The spindle on the right is used to show where he cut down each one.

Here is one set. The foot on the right is not level so all I had to do was sand them down to match in height.

Here is the same board using a different section. It was such an inexpensive way to get some unique looking feet. Hope this helps inspires you too!

I have 2 of the spineless chairs one cushioned for sewing room, one for skirted vanity chair. Love them and if I could cut would do what u did with spindles.
