Any cool ideas of what to do with old gazebo parts?

I saved the 4 "L" shaped corner pieces from my old metal gazebo and was thinking of using them to make a backdrop in the corner of my yard. Anyone have ideas of how to secure them together?
Thanks,
Marti

Check out Pinterest - I have seen people make wall dividers, trellis, etc. out of them.

I would get some of the stiff mesh wire you see it at the lumber stores etc. that's pretty stiff maybe half inch square mesh that once connected to your parts will help keep everything straight and aligned and you can use it to make a trellis and arch etc.

Depends on what look you are going for....2x4s, corrugated metal sections, window frames, bamboo, bamboo shades glued to 1/4" plywood, metal pipe(s), one of the L shapes themselves (like a trellis). Only your unwillingness to search for "backyard structures" limits your options.

I agree with Chas...Pinterest is a great source but, is not the only source. Try to define what you are trying to accomplish: privacy, decoration or all of the above.

Just remember most of those metal units are very thin square tubing and they will be rusting within a few years if you don't plug the end holes and paint/treat the outside surface.

    Good luck.

We have used the metal corners of our old gazebos as a screen to deflect attention from the gas meter (it's still readable); also as a trellis for climbing plants, and we're about to use 3 more as a folding gate to hide ladders placed between our garden shed and fence.
