add some nice chunky legs and use as display/china cabinet
Can you remove the curved pediment at the top and either add legs as the first answer did above,or attach it to a wall, like a cabinet?
You could take the doors off and put gathered lace behind the glass and hang them on the walls in your bedroom or living room and make the cabinet into a bookcase with wood shelves and add the doors above the bookcase. Margie
Someone was going to throw the top of the china cabinet away but I salvaged it...took the topmost decorative piece off, laid a pretty cloth over it and now I have a TV stand that is just the right height. Plus sometimes I place artwork or special items on the 3 shelves. Also attached it to the wall for safety.
Yes, in continuation from above, and you can put it in your bedroom for a t.v. stand and store sweaters and jeans underneath...that after a major overhaul as you might not want a mirror as the back or glass shelves.
