You're supposed to put candles on it but I wanted to do something else with this, any ideas?

Attach thrift shop small plates/bowls where the candles go, paint everything and use it as a jewelry organizer. Add small pots to the candle posts and grow herbs.
Hi Patricia, You could turn it into an outdoor candelabra using solar lights. That would make a great centerpiece for an outdoor party/BBQ. Also, it would look really cool on Halloween with some flickering battery-operated candles and spider webs around it. You could even hang it with some fishing line to make it look like it's floating in thin air.
the advice for alj above is exactly what i have done with a pair very similar, i sprayed them white first the glued solar lights instead of candles. they look great on our BBQ table at night. good luck
It would look great with "solar" candles or lights... on a patio table
Just at first glance it looks like a I need looking upcycle jewelry Rack or possibly a chandelier maybe even a mini table base but I'm just beginning
