And herb or plant vertical garden. Take the two pieces apart. With a small chock behind it, nail it to the garage or back of house or even any wooden posts you might have. Use hand railing-type hanging planters on it (adjusting the hook) or make your own.

Is the ladder basically sound? My husband repurposed an old wood ladder by running a bead of glue around each step to reinforce it. Then he laid it on the ground, drilled two holes on each side parallel with each other a few inches from the ends of the ladder. He inserted I-bolts through each hole and capped the other side with a nut. He screwed hooks in the storage room ceiling and hung the ladder a couple of feet from the ceiling with chain. He used it as a shelf to store coolers, etc. on it. Later he made a second one and used it to storage patio chair cushions in the winter. He also put some S-hooks over the ladder rungs, hung pails from the hooks and stored hand-helded garden tools in them. You would need to hang the ladder close to the wall.

I use one for old table linens that my mother had from years ago. Use table clothes, napkins, finger tip towels. Propped it up on hearth of fireplace!
