Bronze Baby Shoes- Any thoughts on what I could do with them?

Just acquired my husbands.....1947. Was wondering if anyone ever removed them from the platform. I have no use for it especially where there is no ashtray. Any thoughts on what I could do with them?

    Hi Pam, These were made as an ornament,or Bookend, they were never meant to be used! I would emagine you would destroy them or certainly devalue them if you try to remove the base. Do take care!

      This pair are on an oval platform with indent of an ashtray probably because mom-in-law smoked. Not enough room to use as bookends. Thanks anyway.

    They make great bookends, if mounted that way, on sturdy bases!

    Hello Pam, How about a Paperweight, or Sell them as is, or if there is no other way, cut the base down and stain the edges black with a Sharpie..........or re-polish or Varnish... Best wishes...........
