Can anyone tell me how to reuse our old curtains.

Home decoration plays the crucial thing in anyone's house, so it becomes important to have the best thing for it, but at the same time the replaced things become tension as managing them becomes hard. So for reducing the tension one should make reuse of it.

Always good to save for drop cloths. Or use for tablecloths. Depends what fabric you have.

If you do not plan to re-hang them and are running out of space, why not donate them to someone who might can use them. I just told a young man that curtains will help keep the draft from coming in his old windows. He is unemployed and does not have money for curtains...he is like many others who might can use them. (I told him in the meantime unused quilts and blankets would help him through this 6 degrees we had this AM in Atlanta! It may be tacky, but it beats being cold or having the heat go outside! It is supposed to be 60 on Sat. so he can take them down soon).

Let's see - Here's a few ideas for you:

1. Disguise a small open closet office with curtains hung on a tension rod between the two door jambs.

2. Use the curtains in a child’s playroom. Make a tent out of them for children to share with their friends. Use them to create a stage area for young musicians, singers or actors or as temporary bedding for foldout chair beds.

3. make a vanity skirt out of old curtains to cover open storage, equipment, supplies or trash.

4. Make a tablecloth or table topper out of a beautiful curtain fabric.

5. Cut luxurious fabric curtains to make furniture covers, throws, toss pillows and scarves to decorate any room in the home. Use sheer curtain panels as scarves or curtain toppers.

6. Make place mats or napkins.

7. Trim your guest bath towels.

8. If they still match your decor, cover the fabric on dining chairs or foot stool with them.

You could sew several panels together lengthwise and use them on a decorative rod by draping it over and around and letting it trail to the floor at one end, then hang sheers beneath.

If they will still work in your color scheme and depending on pattern or lack of, You could add a coordinating fabric as trim or appliques design, or use fabric paints (or fabric paint additive to craft paint) hand paint or stencil designs on. or you could remake them into something else: you could make them intro throw or floor pillow covers, table runners, inserts in a room divider, braided rug or using hook rug backing cut them into strips and tie in a knot (maybe add coordinating or even contrasting yarns for color and texture just hold and tie 2-3 pieces as 1 piece) to make custom shag rag rug for anywhere in home. So many options.

Perhaps you could use the fabric to cover an ottoman, or make some pillows. Or you could frame the fabric (if it's patterned) for some cheap wall art. If the curtains are a solid color, you could try painting a design on them. I painted big, bold stripes on my curtains they look amazing!
