Can I upcycle a plate into something usable?

Hi Ellen, My name is Cindy. There is a mirror spray paint. Rustoleum and Krylon both make them. You can buy it at Home Depot, Lowe's and Wal Mart. It costs between $7 and $10. Good luck Ellen.

You can also use chalkboard paint and use it as a chalkboard.

Hi ! I recommend using Krylon looking glass paint ! Use light even strokes , let dry and repeat a couple of times , it dries fast . Light coats are better and won't cause drips ! If you want it to look like old mercury glass . Spray a mix of water and white vinegar ( about a half cup of each ) immediately over the looking glass paint then blot here and there with a crumpled paper towel. Let dry and repeat 2-3 times !
