Are you using it to create some room for drainage? I like using little rocks or pebbles for that, but I don't see why you couldn't use a pool noodle.
I'm assuming you mean as a lightweight filler in the bottom of your pot. I use packing peanuts all the time, so I think a pool noodle would be fine.
Hi. I Wouldn't , it won't absorb water, it might even promote mold...You might be able to use a sponge , it will hold water and the roots of the plants can get water from it . I usually just put rocks in the bottom of my planters to help with draining .
