yes they are still around....although not as prevalent as in the past. i have quite a few movies and some music converted to digital. the empty cases make a nice box for giving gift cards.
There was an article on here where someone cut a photo into squares and made a huge wall design. The good thing is if you don't glue them in, you can change out photos.
