Repurposing a glass top table

by Maria
I have the top of what used to be a glass top table. The bottom stand rusted out and I no longer have it. I don't want to throw this glass top away as I know it could be made in to something really cool, I just don't know what. I think from using it somewhere in the house to using it outside somehow could be useful in a DIY project. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

There are all kinds of things you could use for a base, like a bird bath.

You could get a tree stump about 2 ft high or to your liking and attach it to your glass top. It would look amazing.

If it's tall enough it could be turned into a floor mirror by painting the back with looking glass spray paint by Krylon.

I would lay a large picture of a stained glass pattern you like under it, then paint the picture (just like paint by number) on the glass with glass paint (Hobby Lobby, JoAnn fabrics, even Walmart) should all have this paint. I did this for the backsplash behind my cook top. Looks amazing and turned out sooooo cool! Easy!

How about a top for a spool table? It would really dress one up.

I'd check thrift stores,, resale shope,, good will.. its usually the opposite.. glass get tossed, and too expensive to replace it.. if you want to reuse it as a table.. you could also look for a low one for a coffee table..
