My daughter and I are getting ready to use cinder blocks and some 4x4 post and make a great bench. If you stack 5 on one side and 5 on the other side, then slide the wood post in the top holes in the cinder blocks. It will give you a flat bench with cinderblock sides. We are going to stain and seal the wood when it is together. Hope this is informative.
